Welcome
The Kiwanis Club of Miami serves the community in the greater Miami-Dade County area without any distinct boundary to its operations.

Our recent geographical emphasis has been in the area of South Miami, Kendall and West Kendall.

Periodic activities take us as far north as Northwest 49th Street in Miami and as far south as Black Point Marina.
Ms. Gwendolyn Hayes-Evans, Principal of Shadowlawn Elementary, speaks to the Club at our 10.27.2009 Meeting.  Monthly, we participate with the youngest students at Shadolawn in their reading program. Most recently, the Aktion Club at CHC has been assisting, too.

At our 5.27.2009 Meeting we awarded this years Grants from the Paul Zee Trust. All of the recipients are pictured above, and the individual pictures may be viewed under the Event Photos.

Is it In You?

There are many ways to participate in community service. Convicted criminals sometimes draw a coummunity service sentence rather than jail time.  Miami-Dade County Public (and other) School students must perform community service as part of their graduation requirement.

Doing community service, however, to assist one's fellow man should NOT be forced.

Alternatively, VOLUNTEERISM can be a better way.  There are hundreds of large and small organizations that all provide service to the community.

Our organization is Kiwanis, which Kiwanians think is one of the best.  The opportunities are many, and through Kiwanis and its resources, we have the means to achieve worthwhile results
